RONALD W. SWAN, PhD
Ronald W. Swan, PhD, is a senior consultant with Jerry Eppler & Associates where he serves as a resource for executive coaching and team building. He is licensed as a psychologist in California, semi-retired, and is a past member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association and the American Academy of Pain Management.
Organizations with which he has conducted team building programs include: Arianespace Inc.; US WEST Advanced Technologies; US Air Force Hospital System, Anchorage, Alaska; University of Missouri Hospital System; US Army's Organizational Effectiveness Training Center; The American Management Association; Columbian Chemicals Company; Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Company.
He has designed and implemented executive development and coaching programs for top level and mid-level managers, conducted screening evaluations and provided coaching and individual development for law enforcement and public safety agencies. He has designed and developed programs for mental health and alcohol/drug treatment agencies and served as a consultant on a project to prevent teenage smoking funded by the National Cancer Institute. He conducted process oriented stress management training for individuals recovering from addiction (Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center, Watsonville Community Hospital, 1983 to 2000). He initiated the development of a Hospice Program in San Benito County and provided training and consultation to this organization for over ten years.
He has designed and taught graduate courses for Pepperdine University in the following areas: Management: Ethics and Values; Human Relations: Interpersonal-Intergroup Behavior, The Psychology of Human Relations and Social Psychology.
He is cofounder and past president of Human Development, Inc., a nonprofit corporation involved in developing and implementing career and personal development programs for youth.
